Sawmills Elementary School:
Reading Day with the Crawdads 
              

The students of Sawmills Elementary School were visited by Hickory Crawdads player Danny Bomback as part of the Pirates outreach program that the players participate in.  The visit was made even more special when the community came together to purchase copies of "Dreams Will Come, Dreams Will Go" for each of the 2nd and 3rd grade students to receive after Danny read the story to them. A total of 145 books were given out as part of the project.
